Kaleidoscope’s Park Grove KOOSH Club is located just outside York City Centre at Park Grove Primary School. The KOOSH Supervisor is Karen Holland, who has over twenty years experience in playwork & childcare and is level 3 qualified. Karen works hard with her team to create a fun and exciting environment for children to play and relax in during out of school hours.
The KOOSH team work collaboratively with the children to ensure the environment and activities on offer meet their needs and interests and we provide free flow play with spacious indoor and outside areas. The children take part in a range of fun activities and play experiences which are appropriate to their development. They also have the opportunity to attend various clubs that run on different days within the setting such as baking, sports, film, sewing and art. The older children are also given the opportunity to complete their homework with support if needed. A key person system is used and each child has a learning diary compiled by the child and their key person.
Park Grove KOOSH Club operates Breakfast Club from 8.00am to 9.00 am and After School Club from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. We offer care for children from 3 to 11 years from both Park Grove and St Wilfred’s School in the local area. We provide nutritious food; home cooked from locally sourced ingredients to provide a healthy, balanced diet. Children are encouraged to help choose the menus, prepare and cook the food we provide. We can cater for individual dietary needs and food allergies.
We are very proud of our KOOSH club and offer extremely high standards of care and learning. We want parents to feel happy and confident to leave their children in our care and believe children should enjoy their time at KOOSH, have fun, enjoy themselves and make friends.
